- Yes. TaskSpot is a free to-do list. All features are free forever. No credit card required. No hidden fees. No premium plans. You can create unlimited tasks and use all views without paying anything.
- Is TaskSpot simpler than Todoist?
- Yes. TaskSpot is a stupid simple to-do app with zero learning curve. Todoist has projects, labels, filters, natural language processing, and extensive integrations. TaskSpot removes features until it's minimal. If you want a simple to-do list, choose TaskSpot. If you want features, choose Todoist.
- Does TaskSpot have projects, tags, or reminders?
- No. TaskSpot is a no-frills to-do app. It intentionally does not have projects, tags, or reminders. It's just a simple to-do list focused on Today, Tomorrow, and Backlog. If you need those features, choose something else.
- Is TaskSpot good for people who hate productivity apps?

No projects or tags—just powerful simplicity. All features are free.
- Do I need to download an app?
- No download required! TaskSpot is a web-based application that works in any modern browser. You can access your tasks from any device - desktop, tablet, or mobile - simply by visiting taskspot.app.
- Can I use TaskSpot on mobile devices?
- Yes! TaskSpot is fully responsive and works seamlessly on smartphones and tablets. You can access your tasks from any device with an internet connection.
- How do I organize my tasks in TaskSpot?
- TaskSpot uses a simple system: Today for immediate tasks, Tomorrow for planning ahead, and Backlog for everything else. You can move tasks between these views and set priorities and due dates. No projects or tags needed.
- Is my data secure with TaskSpot?
- Absolutely. TaskSpot takes data security seriously. We use encryption for data in transit and at rest, follow GDPR compliance standards, and never sell your personal information. Your tasks and data are private and secure.
- Can I export my tasks?
- Currently, TaskSpot focuses on providing the best in-app experience. Export features may be added in future updates based on user feedback.
- How do I get started with TaskSpot?
- Getting started is easy! Simply visit our signup page, create a free account (no credit card required), and start adding your tasks. The interface is intuitive, so you can begin organizing your tasks immediately.
- Does TaskSpot integrate with other apps?
- TaskSpot currently offers Jira integration for users who need to connect their development tasks. We are continuously working on adding more integrations based on user needs.
- What happens if I forget my password?
- No problem! Simply click "Forgot Password" on the sign-in page, enter your email address, and we will send you a password reset link. Follow the instructions in the email to create a new password.
- Can I delete my TaskSpot account?
- Yes, you can delete your account at any time. Contact our support team at support@virdisoft.com, and we will assist you with account deletion. Please note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Does TaskSpot have keyboard shortcuts?
- Yes! TaskSpot has powerful keyboard shortcuts for power users. Use j/k to navigate between tasks, x to mark done, e to edit, d to delete, and ? to see all shortcuts. You can also reorder tasks with Shift+J and Shift+K. Press ? anytime to see the full list.
- Does TaskSpot send email notifications?
- TaskSpot offers optional email notifications including morning briefings (daily task summary), monthly summaries, and personal check-ins. You can also opt-in to vacation mode to pause all notifications while you take a break. Manage all email preferences in Settings > Notifications.
- Can I pause notifications when I am on vacation?
- Yes! TaskSpot has a Vacation Mode feature. When enabled, all emails and notifications are paused until you return. Find it in Settings > Notifications. You can set an optional end date for automatic reactivation.
- Is there a limit to how many tasks I can create?
- No, there is no limit on the number of tasks you can create in TaskSpot. Create as many tasks as you need to stay organized and productive.
