Recurring tasks — completing a task you've been carrying over now schedules the next one for its next future date, not the day after the old stale due date. Catch up a daily habit you missed all week in a single tap; it picks back up tomorrow.

Carried-over tasks — every overdue task now shows Today, Tomorrow, and Backlog buttons right on the card. Move individual carried tasks in one tap without opening a date picker.

Task numbers — each task gets a short reference (#42) on your list. Click the number to copy it for quick mentions in Claude, Cursor, or other AI tools; MCP understands #N when you say things like "mark #7 done".

Task cards — cleaner layout with the done button on the left, tags as pills beside the title, and less clutter so backlog lists are easier to scan. Done, deleted, and subtask rows use the same design.

Statistics page — a dedicated home for your task stats, with space for future week-over-week and month-over-month insights.

#tags — add hashtags in task titles to label and organize work; filter your list or sidebar by tag to focus on one theme at a time.

Optional personal key — if you want stronger privacy for your tasks, you can encrypt them with your own passphrase (paid plans).

Two-factor authentication (authenticator app) — optional MFA in Settings > Security.

Carried over on Today — tasks that were due before today now appear in a dedicated Carried over section, separate from what is actually due today, so you can see what rolled forward and triage it without mixing it up with fresh deadlines.

Today page — softer overdue styling, quick ways to nudge stale carried-over tasks, and a calmer empty state when you are caught up on today's due list.

Paste to Import — paste meeting notes, lists, or project plans and turn them into tasks in seconds. No more retyping.

AI Enhance for Paste to Import — for subscribers, AI intelligently extracts tasks, priorities, and due dates from messy text so you can import with one click.

Sub-tasks — break big tasks into smaller steps.

MCP support for AI tools — connect Claude Desktop and Cursor to TaskSpot. Add the connector, authorize once, and manage your tasks with natural language from your AI assistant.

Completed today section — see a quick glimpse of tasks you've finished today right on the Today page. Expand to view the list, undo completions, or jump to the full Done view.

Zen mode — a distraction-free Focus view to power through your tasks. Press f to enter; use n for quick add, j/k to navigate, x to complete, and Esc to exit.

Quick capture in Zen mode — add tasks on the fly without leaving focus. Progress bar shows how many tasks you've completed.
