Managing Tasks

Create, edit, organize, and recover tasks. Everything you need to stay on top of your to-do list.

Creating tasks

Use the task form at the top of any view. Enter a title (required), optional description, priority (None, Low, Medium, High), and due date (Today, Tomorrow, or a custom date via the calendar picker). Press Enter or click Add to save. Press n to quickly focus the task input.

Editing and deleting tasks

Click the edit icon on a task (or press ewhen it's selected) to edit the title, description, priority, and due date. Use the delete button to remove a task. Deleted tasks go to the Deleted view and can be recovered within 7 days.

Repeating tasks

Set any task to repeat: Daily, Weekdays (Mon–Fri), Weekly, or Monthly. A repeating task requires a due date. When you complete it, the next occurrence appears automatically with the correct future date. The completed one stays in Done — you keep your history and streaks. Use the Repeat control in the task form (or press ⌘⇧R/ Ctrl+Shift+R to cycle). A small repeat icon on the card shows they're recurring. Perfect for morning routines, weekly reviews, and habits.

Priorities and due dates

Set a priority to visually highlight important tasks. Change the due date from the task card using the date dropdown — choose Today, Tomorrow, or pick any future date from the calendar. You can also use the Move to menu to quickly move a task between Today, Tomorrow, and Backlog.

Urgent flag

Mark a task as urgent for extra emphasis. Urgent tasks show a bolt icon with a pulse animation. Urgent + high priority displays a red icon and red left border. Urgent only (other priorities) shows a yellow icon with no border. Use the Urgent button in the task form or press ⌘⇧U (Ctrl+Shift+U on Windows) to toggle.

Sorting tasks

Use the Sort control above the task list to order by Custom (drag order), Priority, or Date Added. Press s to cycle through sort modes. Sorting applies to Today, Tomorrow, Upcoming, and Backlog views.

Bulk actions

Use the Actions button above the task list to apply actions to all tasks in the current view. You can mark all as done, delete all, delete overdue (on Today/Tomorrow), or move all to Today or Tomorrow. Available actions depend on the view — for example, on Backlog you can move all to Today or Tomorrow; on Today you can move all to Tomorrow. Bulk actions are especially useful in the Backlog view to schedule many tasks at once.

Focus mode

In Today view, mark tasks as focused using the star icon on each task. Then press f to enter Focus mode—a full-screen view showing only your focused tasks. Perfect for deep work. Press Esc to exit.

Drag-and-drop reordering

Drag tasks up or down to reorder them. The order is saved automatically. You can also use Shift+J and Shift+K to move the selected task down or up.

Task recovery

Accidentally deleted a task? Go to the Deleted view (sidebar) to see soft-deleted tasks. Click Recover to restore a task. Tasks are permanently deleted after 7 days.
