- How do I enable vacation mode?
- Go to Settings → Notifications and enable Vacation Mode. All emails and notifications will be paused. You can set an optional end date for automatic reactivation when you return.
- How do I get morning briefing emails?
- Go to Settings → Notifications and enable the morning briefing option. You'll receive a daily email summary of your tasks for the day.
- How do I connect Jira to TaskSpot?
- Go to Settings → Integrations (or click Integrations in the sidebar) and connect Jira. You'll need to confirm your email first. Once connected, you can import Jira issues as tasks.
- How do I change my email or password?
- Go to Settings. Use the Email tab to change your email (requires confirmation) and the Password tab to change your password.
- How do I manage email notifications?
- Settings → Notifications lets you control morning briefings, monthly summaries, personal check-ins, and vacation mode. Toggle each option on or off.
- How do I set a task to repeat?
- Use the Repeat control in the task form when creating or editing. Choose Daily, Weekdays (Mon–Fri), Weekly, or Monthly. A repeating task needs a due date. When you complete it, the next occurrence appears automatically. Press ⌘⇧R (Ctrl+Shift+R) to cycle repeat options. A small repeat icon on the card shows recurring tasks.
- How do I move a task between Today, Tomorrow, and Backlog?
- Use the Move to button on the task card (or the dropdown menu) to quickly move it to Today, Tomorrow, or Backlog. You can also change the due date in the edit form.
- How do I recover a deleted task?
- Go to the Deleted view in the sidebar. Find the task and click Recover. Tasks are permanently deleted after 7 days.
- How do I use bulk actions?
- Use the Actions button above the task list. Actions apply to all tasks in the current view: mark all as done, delete all, delete overdue (on Today/Tomorrow), or move all to Today or Tomorrow. Available options depend on the view.
- How do I add TaskSpot to my home screen?
- On iPhone: Open TaskSpot in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. On Android: Open in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app. Step-by-step guide →
- Where is the Help Center?
- Find Help in the left sidebar under Shortcuts. It opens in a new tab. You can also press ? anytime in the app to see keyboard shortcuts.
- How do I mark a task as urgent?
- Use the Urgent button (bolt icon) in the task form when creating or editing. Or press ⌘⇧U (Ctrl+Shift+U on Windows). Urgent + high priority shows a red icon and border; urgent only shows a yellow icon.
- How do I sort my tasks?
- Use the Sort control above the task list to order by Custom (drag order), Priority, or Date Added. Press s to cycle through sort modes. Available on Today, Tomorrow, Upcoming, and Backlog views.
